Donate and support our chosen charities
The Anglo-Argentine Society continually runs a wide-ranging fundraising programme for a number of charities, especially those based in Argentina that offer life-changing opportunities to children and disadvantaged communities. We raise funds through our membership fees, events and kind donations from our community. This year we are supporting Red Comunidades Rurales y
Haciendo Camino.
Red Comunidades Rurales is a national network working to improve living conditions and to create opportunities in remote and rural parts of Argentina, combatting poverty and social exclusion. Red Comunidades Rurales focuses on three essential areas: rural education, environmental care, and community development.
Their initiatives directly impact around 18,000 people across more than 550 social organisations and approximately 330 rural schools, with efforts concentrated in Argentina’s most remote and vulnerable regions, including the Paraná Jungle, Gran Chaco, Puna, Yungas Jungle, High Andes, Monte, Iberá Wetlands, and Patagonian Steppe.
Haciendo Camino supports socially vulnerable families in northern Argentina, with programmes dedicated to the development of children from 0 to 5 years old and ongoing support for mothers starting from pregnancy. The programmes are focused on nutrition, maternal health, and education.
Since 2006, over 10,000 mothers have participated in Haciendo Camino’s health education workshops. The charity has accompanied and supported over 4,000 pregnant women and impacted more than 18,000 children.
The charity operates 12 Child Development and Family Strengthening Centres across Santiago del Estero, Chaco, and Salta provinces, and regularly visits 22 local neighbourhoods to extend essential support to more families and communities.

Expanding our commitment to improving healthcare access, the Anglo-Argentine Society has identified an urgent need to address the availability of affordable treatments for neglected diseases in vulnerable regions. This year, alongside supporting Enseñá por Argentina and Asociación Cuerpo y Alma, we have partnered with local health organizations to promote access to ivermectin at low cost, a critical medication for combating parasitic infections. Many rural communities in northern Argentina lack consistent access to such treatments, leaving them exposed to preventable health risks. By subsidizing the distribution of ivermectin, we aim to alleviate the financial burden on families and ensure that effective care reaches those in need. This initiative is made possible through targeted fundraising efforts and the generosity of our supporters, who recognize the vital connection between education, health, and long-term community development. Addressing healthcare challenges in tandem with educational and social support amplifies the impact of our programs. We believe that empowering communities with the tools to thrive begins with ensuring their basic health needs are met. Together, we are building a foundation for a healthier, more equitable future for all.
