Hudson and Don Roberto

Tuesday 13 May, 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Argentine Ambassador’s Residence, 49 Belgrave Square, London, SW1X 8QZA century has passed since the British Prime Minister, Stanley Baldwin, unveiled a monument and nature reserve in Hyde Park, dedicated to the memory of naturalist and author W. H. Hudson. The project to honour his friend was masterminded by the celebrated ‘Don Roberto’ Cunninghame Graham, the Hispano-Scots writer, adventurer, politician, campaigner and all-round renaissance man. Author Conor Mark Jameson will tell the story of their remarkable friendship. This event is free to attend but you must register, and donations are warmly welcomed to support our ongoing work. We suggest a contribution of £10, though any amount you’re able to give is greatly appreciated.
